The Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE is a semi-automatic AR pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem with an 11.5 inch barrel and 30+1 capacity. It is built on a 7075-T6 aluminum frame with a black anodized finish and a Magpul BTR pistol brace. Gemtech GVAC gas handling, a Midwest Industries Combat M-LOK handguard, and a Gemtech ETM flash hider set this compact pistol up for suppressed use.

The 11.5 inch 4150 CMV barrel has 5R rifling, a 1:8 twist, an Armornite finish, and 1/2x28 muzzle threads. GVAC uses an expansion chamber to collect extra gas and vent it forward instead of back toward the shooter during suppressed fire. A nickel boron coated barrel extension is used to support feeding and heat resistance.

Controls include a Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle plus ambidextrous magazine release, bolt release, and safety. The M&P grip includes four interchangeable backstraps, and the trigger is a flat-face design. At 27.5 inches overall and 99.5 oz, with no iron sights and an optic-ready upper, the M&P15 AXE is suited to compact range use and suppressor-focused 5.56 work.
