Description
Description
This Colt Python is an original-production example manufactured in 1990, chambered in .357 Magnum and fitted with the highly desirable 6-inch vent-rib barrel. Serial number T91300 dates this revolver to the later years of classic Python production, well before Colt reintroduced the model in 2020.
The revolver features stainless-steel construction, the Python's unmistakable full-length underlug and ventilated rib, adjustable rear sight, orange-insert front sight, and a six-round cylinder. It is fitted with attractive finger-groove wood grips featuring Colt medallions; the originality of the grips is not confirmed.
Overall condition appears very good, with a bright, attractive stainless finish showing light handling marks and surface wear consistent with use. The cylinder, barrel and frame present especially well in the photographs. For collectors looking for an original-generation Python rather than a current-production example, this 1990 revolver offers the classic Colt action and appearance that established the Python's reputation.
